SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME TOPICS

The purpose of the conference was to examine the relevance of a broad theoretical framework, which we refer to as the Dialogical self, to the scientific study of personality and the self. This framework encompasses several key concepts, including narrative approaches to the self, unity vs. multiplicity and multivoicedness of the self, dialogicality and valuation, and meaning construction and reconstruction.
The various conference presentations examined these ideas within three topic domains:

This site contains the abstracts of all presentations made at the conference, organized according to type of presentation. When you click on the name of the presenter, you should get a pop-up window displaying the abstract (for discriptions of symposium contents, click on the symposium title). The e-mail address of the presenter, and other web-related information, is also provided.
