
Performance
controls (play parameters):
- Play
melody: Press Play button (ctrl P (command P on Mac))
- Stop
playing: press esc key on keyboard
- Repeat
the last playing: press R key on the keyboard
- By checking or unchecking the appropriate boxes you can hear any
combination of
- Melody
- Root
- Beat
- Skeleton (in case you have selected skeleton-based melody
construction, or if you have elaborated the melody)
- Tempo:
here
you
can set the duration in ms of a 1/16 note (previously called
inter slot interval)
- Sopr:
the
instrument
used for the melody
- Bass:
the
instrument
used for the root and the bass (with the slider, right from the
selector, you can change the loudness of the bass sound)
- Metrically
performed: the tones on the two highest metrical levels are
played a little louder.
- Iso:
the
time
between all tone onsets is equal to the set time for a 1/16
note
- RhythmOnly:
only
the
rhythm of the melody is produced.
- Expression:
the
tempo
slows down a little near the end of the melody
Play a fragment of a melody
- To play one
note: left-click on the note
- To play a fragment:
While pressing the shift key, successively click the first and last
note of the fragment you want to hear
- To play a part,
or to begin playing at a specific location: right-click on the part you
want to hear, or on the note where playing should
start.
