Basic
parameters
of the Pitch dimension
In the 'Pitch parameters' pane you can set the following parameters:
- The key
and the mode
- The
range
of the melody: the lowest and highest note that may occur
- The harmonic
progression: select a generative rule or a fixed progression.
You can also add your own progressions. User added progressions are not
maintained after restarting the program. What options are available
depends on the Model you are using.
In the 'Model-specific parameters' pane you may find parameters like:
- Percentage of chordtones or non-chord tones
- Whether or not chromatic tones are used
- The percentage of nonchord tones falling on a beat
- Whether or not nonchord tones are resolved
- Whether or not two successive tones may have the same pitch
- Whether the interval between two tones must be minimal (may be
removed soon)
- Contour/structure constraints:
- No constraints
- Some bars same contour (and rhythm). Note: Contour constraints
are determined by the Rhythm constraints
- All bars same contour (and rhythm)
